Weather Outlook: A trough system is affecting the island

Development…if any…of this disturbance is likely to be slow to occur as this system moves west northwestward at about 10 mph away from the islands. Instability and an increase in moisture levels as a result of this system is expected to be maintained across the island together with an increase in cloudiness, gusty winds, scattered showers and possible isolated thunderstorms during the next 12 hours. Residents in areas prone to flooding, landslides and falling rocks are advised to exercise caution.Sea conditions are expected to be moderate during the next 24 hours with an increase in swells expected on the eastern coast of the island during the next 24 hours.
